Review: Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams XBLA

Fresh, fun ideas in gaming these days are about as easy to find as honest, good-natured politicians. While there are plenty of indie games out there, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is an amazing example of how quality platforming without all the pixelated craze as of late, can be done right. Whether you enjoy old school platforming or not, this game is worth your time.

October 1996. Core Design unleashes the original Tomb Raider upon the world. People were mezmorized not only by the stellar and fresh game design but with the games main heroine, Lara Croft. Since then, several Tomb Raider titles have been released, major motion pictures have been launched, knockoffs created, and nerds everywhere have salivated over Lara.

Review: Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm

While Starcraft wasn't the original title that started the real-time strategy (RTS) genre, in 1988, it definitely skyrocketed it into the mainstream with huge sales and a much beloved cast of characters, creatures and slick gameplay. The cinematics were also revolutionary and many late nights at both work and home were filled with laughs of pure nerd bliss with LAN play. Now, it's 2013 and it's time for more swarm. It's time for more Kerrigan.
